Archiving

Archiving the records is essential if you want to keep your conversations for a longer period of time. DSR Group have several archiving solutions with the help of which we can satisfy virtually all consumer needs at the highest possible level. From the simplest FTP archiving to the most sophisticated SLDC technologies we are ready to give an appropriate answer and solution to all challenges.

1. FTP archiving

DSR Group's FTP archiving solution is ideal for all the companies having relatively little amount of conversations within a given period, and where there are no special requirements of replaying and listing. With the help of FTP archiving the recorder copies all recorded calls onto a dedicated server when the network is not so loaded (e.g. at nights) through FTP or FTPS connection. In case of E1 trunk recording and larger amounts of calls, FTP archiving method is not recommended.

FTP archiving features:

  • eligibility of connection method (FTP / FTPS)
  • saving the records in WAV / ARF format (ARF format means password protection and replaying only with DSR EasyReplay application)
  • saving starts with creating a new subfolder the name of which is the actual date and time
  • the frequency of saving can be timed, and it always starts saving from the last saved record
  • beside the saved voice records, a textual list of records is created
  • the name of a record is partially a header. Fields can be selected, but the serial number of the recorder and the record must be selected
  • the recorder sends saturation alarm – e.g. if FTP archiving blackouts several times – according to the pre-configured alarm level
  • replaying of the records is possible with MediaPlayer according to the format (in case of speex compression appropriate codec is provided) or with DSR EasyReplay application

2. Archiving by using SLDCenter

Archiving by using SLDCenter is the most convenient, reliable and safest way of archiving any types of recorded communication. SLDCenter is capable of handling more recorders as one, copying their recorded files after closing onto its built-in storage and then archive the records to an external storage (DVD, NAS or Tivoli, etc.). SLDCenter builds a database from the records, speeds up and makes replaying and listing easier. The device is capable of system administering and servicing as well.

2. SLDCenter archiving features:

  • central service, system management and archiving
  • puts more recorders (even with different signal sources) in one consistent system
  • large capacity (handles up to 160.000 hours call information)
  • user interface accessible through the web
  • archives to mobile data carriers or large capacity auxiliary storage
  • sends e-mail notifications about events
  • logs all activities
  • redundant solutions: DSR SoliDLog® system
